Lips are a sensuous part of the face. Not only do they help facilitate eating and drinking but they are our prime communication and kissing tools!
ABOUT
No pair of lips are the same. With millions of nerve endings lips are particularly sensitive. Unlike the rest of our skin, they don't carry the glands that secrete protective oil. This makes them vulnerable to dryness, wind and sun.
When young our lips are plump and pigmented, however with age some of the underlying collagen structure is lost making lips appear flatter and thinner.
Semi-permanent lining and blush helps to return a fuller, healthier and younger appearance to lips.

Lip consultation
An initial consultation is particularly important if you're a new client to Glowtique; have never had a semi-permanent makeup procedure; or have allergies or health concerns*.
For you, this session allows us to discuss your requirements and address any concerns. For us, it gives knowledge about your skin tone and condition; checks for any existing allergies or medication; and informs of your facial structure—in order to craft a customised solution for you.
The session also includes a trial patch to ensure that you won't have an adverse reaction to a complete treatment.
Because of the time, skill and product used in this session there is a fee—however for those continuing on to a lip blush / liner session this fee is 100% deducted.
*If you are healthy and have previously had a successful semi-permanent procedure done you may be able to skip this initial session. Contact Glowtique to discuss.
Lip blush (full lip colour)
Lip pigmentation helps to enhance the natural colour that often dulls with age. Lip blush looks fantastic on its own or it can layered with tints and glosses for an extra glamorous look.
A touch up treatment (included in the fee) is necessary between 6 – 8 weeks
Lip blush + neutralisation for dark lips
Existing dark pigmentation, caused by either natural tone or previous tattoo work, can alter the outcome of full blush treatments causing unpredictable colour results. Those with darker skin or Asian heritage have a naturally darker lip base.
To achieve the intended look we recommend neutralisation of lips with pigmentation problems, prior to full lip blush treatment. Depending on severity, multiple treatments may be necessary.
- Level 1: Medium, brown overall tone. May require one visit for neutralisation.
- Level 2: Dark, brown pigmentation, usually found in those with Asian heritage. May require two visits for neutralisation.
- Level 3: Naturally dark lips with deep purple undertones or previous tattooing. May require three visits for neutralisation.
If you are unsure of whether you need lip neutralisation first, please contact us along with a photo for assessment.

Lip liner contour
Lip lining and contouring works to make lips appear fuller while correcting any subtle unevenness both asymmetrically and top v bottom. It keeps lips permanently defined while wearing your favourite lip colour.

Lip corrections
It's unfortunate but true that we sometimes are asked for help to correct the semi-permanent work of other technicians. We help to correct unevenness both asymmetrically and top v bottom, as well as mottled pigmentation.
